Overview

Night Porter, Hotel du Vin — Rate of Pay / Hours: 20 hours, £12.67. Type of Contract: Permanent. Location: Cambridge.

The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands-on role managing guest expectations and ensuring the standards of the brand are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Food & Beverage Department during the night.
• Welcome guests in a friendly and helpful manner and ensure public areas are kept immaculate.
• Clean public areas and prepare meeting and event spaces for the next day.
• Assist guests with luggage, deal with inquiries, and carry out nightly Health and Safety audits.
• Be organized and an excellent communicator.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a similar role is beneficial.
• Experience of night shift work is essential.

Work Pattern & Opportunities

We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days. We offer flexibility if required. We are busier during evenings and weekends, but shift patterns and contracted hours can be discussed at interview.

Successful candidates can look to progress to Night Supervisory or Assistant Night Management roles.
