Overview

Immediate starts with night-time hours as an experienced Carer within a beautiful Care Home in the Derby area. You will be supporting the existing care team who specialise in illnesses related to old age, such as Alzheimer’s Disease or physical mobility issues. As a care assistant you will be a key member of the team in providing high standard of care to the 35 service users.

Responsibilities

  • Completing light household duties
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Be an experienced carer with ability to work night shifts
  • Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
  • Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service
  • Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas
  • Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home
  • Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help you with this. We offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep.

Schedule & Compensation

This is an ongoing role with potential for a permanent position. You will be working from 21:00 to 07:00, with hours available on varying days from Monday to Sunday. The rate of pay for this role is: £12.75 per hour (Mon to Fri) and £13.25 per hour (Sat and Sun).
