Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented NDP process Technologist to join our Watton based NPD team.

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in bringing innovative products from concept to launch within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with teams across the site including operations, Technical and commercial to ensure new products are developed to align with our company and customer expectations, our manufacturing capabilities and quality standards.

Core Hours: 08:00am – 17:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Requirements of a Process Technologist
  • Support the development and be responsible for the scale-up and validation of new products from kitchen trials through to factory production.
  • Conduct factory trials and pre-production runs, collect and analyse trial data, and recommend process adjustments to optimise quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the NPD team to ensure seamless handover from concept to production launch.
  • Liaise with Production and Technical teams to identify and resolve process issues during trials and launches.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the NPD process.
  • Work with passion, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
  • Lead each product launch to a critical path, with the ability to make informed decisions. Be analytical and communicate to all levels internally and externally.
What you will need
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and hands on approach to trials and production support.
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to work across all functions and influence key stakeholders whilst maintaining positive and productive relationships
  • Flexibility to work occasional early shifts or extended hours during trial or launch phases.
  • Previous experience and understanding of manufacturing processes within a food manufacturing environment or FMCG sector.
  • Deliver consistent quality and accuracy throughout
  • Driving licence preferable due to travel requirements to Cranswick and customer sites.
