About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent small animal practice located across Torquay, Newton Abbot & Teignmouth. This role is open to new graduates who are looking for a supportive first step in their veterinary career.

You’ll gain experience in all areas of small animal practice, including:

  • 🩺 Consultations & case workups
  • 🔪 Routine surgeries & dentals
  • 📸 Basic imaging
  • ❤️ Opportunities to support a local animal welfare charity

Consultations are run by appointment only (except emergencies), giving you time to focus on building confidence and delivering high‑quality care. All surgical work is carried out at the main site, where you’ll have access to excellent facilities and the latest diagnostic equipment.

You’ll be joining a friendly, approachable, and highly skilled team with a wealth of experience. The practice is proud of its supportive culture, where collaboration, learning, and professional development are at the heart of everything they do.

The nursing team is exceptionally experienced, with over 50 combined years of knowledge to share, making this the ideal place for a new graduate to thrive. With a varied caseload that even includes some exotic patients 🐍🐇, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to broaden your skills and interests while being supported at every step.
