Overview

Network Technician (EL521)

Salary: £25,205 - £28,282 (per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Ellesmere Port (with some travel to the Chester campus)

We are looking for a Network Technician to join us at our Ellesmere Port campus. Both our proactive and reactive work are vital to the running of the College. We work on large-scale projects as well as supporting colleagues with day-to-day technical issues.

Are you a good fit for this role?

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair IT systems and equipment (hardware, peripherals and software) to ensure they are functioning effectively, in accordance with agreed service standards;
  • Install IT equipment and software to meet user needs;
  • Identify persistent and potential problems and suggest and implement solutions;
  • Assist with the inventory audits of equipment and software;
  • Assist in the development and technical support of the technology infrastructure for both voice and data and;
  • Promote the welfare of children and young people.
Key Person Specification Requirements
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) or above in English and Maths (or equivalent);
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Appropriate level of digital literacy; and
  • Enhanced DBS check.
