3 Month Contract | Equivalent Salary up to £70,000 | Immediate Start

Ocho are proud to be partnering exclusively with a major engineering organisation in Ballymena to appoint an accomplished IT Networking and Security Engineer. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys taking ownership of critical infrastructure during periods of heightened change.

In this contract, you'll take responsibility for the day to day health and optimisation of the company's core network. That includes ensuring the smooth running of LAN, WAN and Wi Fi environments, overseeing firewall estates, and supporting SD WAN, VPN connectivity and wider network services. You'll also play a valuable role in upcoming modernisation and security uplift initiatives across cloud, endpoint, Wi Fi and firewall platforms.

We're looking for an engineer with solid, real world networking foundations - someone comfortable diagnosing issues on complex networks, confident with routing, switching and security protocols, and capable of implementing meaningful improvements. Strong experience with firewalls, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy will be crucial. Familiarity with ISO27001 or GDPR aligned environments would be a significant advantage.
