Job summary

Are you an experienced safeguarding professional with a passion for driving best practice and shaping national policy in adult social care?

CareTech is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled National Safeguarding Lead – Adults & Specialist Services to take ownership of our safeguarding strategy, governance, and operational oversight across our adult services division.

This is a high-profile leadership role where you will work closely with senior leaders, external regulators, and operational teams to deliver a safe, person‑centred approach that supports and empowers the individuals we care for.

What You'll Be Doing :

Lead on the development and implementation of a robust adult safeguarding strategy

Act as the organisation’s subject matter expert on all adult safeguarding matters

Develop and lead a safeguarding forum to analyse incident trends, training compliance, and share best practices

Support serious case reviews, Section 42 enquiries and safeguarding investigations

Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to shape effective, compliant safeguarding training

Champion co‑production and empower service users through education and engagement

Provide on‑site operational support and represent CareTech in external safeguarding meetings

Design and implement audits that drive learning and continuous improvement

About You :

Relevant professional qualification in Health, Social Care, or Safeguarding

Extensive experience in a senior safeguarding role in adult services

Deep understanding of safeguarding legislation, CQC and associated regulatory frameworks

Skilled in incident investigation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement

Experience developing and delivering training across complex, multi‑site organisations

Strong working knowledge of related frameworks : MCA, DoLS, Prevent, Human Rights Act, Equality Act
