Job summary

A regional police force is seeking a dynamic and qualified Police Staff National Firearms Instructor to deliver firearms training based on the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum. The ideal candidate will supervise practical training sessions, assess officer performance, and design lesson plans. Successful applicants must have the necessary experience and skills to ensure safety and training effectiveness across various training venues within the region.

Qualifications

  • Must be a nationally trained Police Firearms Instructor within the last 3 years.
  • Authorised Police Firearms Officer qualifications within the last 3 years.
  • Sound knowledge of the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise practical exercises and provide feedback.
  • Assess students and maintain discipline in classes.
  • Design and structure lessons to meet objectives.
  • Evaluate and maintain training content and needs.

Skills

Knowledge of computers

PTLLS level 3 qualification or equivalent
