0.8 (4 days per week)

Teachers’ Unqualified Pay Range: UQT1-UQT6 (£22,601-£35,259)

Pro rata: £18,080 – £28,207 per annum

The Vacancy

The Trustees and Head Teacher of the school are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team. As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to share your love for music with students ranging from EYFS, KS1, KS2 to our Resourced Provision. Your role will involve providing music instruction, guiding students in their musical journey and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

About our school

Lever Edge Primary Academy is a large two form entry primary school, with two nurseries a sports hall and a SEND unit.

Duties
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Have the ability to inspire students of all ages and skill levels and foster a love for music!
  • Implement the teaching of the music curriculum from nursery to KS2 levels
  • Teach students how to play instruments, read music and understand musical concepts
  • Provide individual and group instruction in various musical styles and genres
  • Prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate music programs and events
  • Maintain a safe and organised music room
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or teaching/tutoring experience
  • Knowledge of special education techniques is a plus
  • Proficiency in playing two or more musical instruments
  • Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage students
  • Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
