SITE ENGINEER - PERMANENT SHIFTS (NO WEEKENDS)

Up to £42,000 per year

A long-established, innovative manufacturing site located near the Wiltshire/Berkshire/Hampshire border (3 miles south of Hungerford) is looking for a skilled Site Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This is a permanent role with morning, afternoon and night shifts available — and no weekend work.

THE ROLE

You will support the planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance of onsite machinery and equipment, ensuring safe, smooth and efficient operation across the facility. For the right person, there is excellent potential to progress.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attend mechanical breakdowns and support machinery adjustments
  • Diagnose and repair faults
  • Maintain machinery maintenance programmes and records
  • Assist with spare parts management
  • Maintain a clean, organised workshop and oversee site tools
  • Contribute to building maintenance and improvements
  • Provide holiday/sickness cover when required
  • Deputise for the Chief Engineer and support clerical tasks
  • Complete all relevant documentationWork closely with managers to support policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations
  • Undertake additional duties as required
WORKING PATTERN
  • Permanent morning, afternoon and night shifts available
  • No weekends
  • Based on a 37.5-hour paid week
