Overview

Location: Rugby • Salary: £48,500 • Shifts: Panama Shift Pattern (10-hour shifts - rotating early and late) no nights

My client is the global market leader in logistics process automation, trusted by the world's largest airports, parcel networks, and retailers. They design and deliver next-generation warehouse solutions that offer unmatched flexibility and scalability.

We're growing - and now we're looking for a proactive, skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our onsite engineering team at our customer's Distribution Centre in Rugby.

Your Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the performance of our automated distribution systems. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is running at peak performance and proactively preventing issues before they arise.

You'll be working a Panama shift pattern, covering both early and late 10-hour shifts, with ample time off built into your schedule. No nights.

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on automated machinery
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control-related faults
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work at height, in confined spaces, and in a fast-moving automated environment
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with on-site engineers and operational teams
What You'll Need
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or higher in a mechanical or electrical discipline
  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role
  • Flexibility to work 10-hour shifts (days and afternoons, Panama shift pattern)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work safely at height, in noisy environments, and within confined spaces
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
  • Experience working in an automated or FMCG environment
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior technicians
