Job summary

A leading company in materials handling is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure maintenance of automated equipment. Candidates must have NVQ Level 3 in Engineering and prior operational experience. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills along with excellent communication and customer focus. Competitive hours from Monday to Friday with two shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds in an engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in an operational engineering role.
• Familiar with basic hand tools like spanners, screwdrivers, Allen keys.

Responsibilities

• Complete all PPM and reactive maintenance on automated equipment.
• Ensure optimal performance of conveyors, sortation, and packaging machinery.

Overview

We now have an exciting new opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance engineer to join our fast growing and highly successful client that specialises in materials handling systems.

You should be able to provide a broad based electrical, mechanical, ability along with a right first-time mentality and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the site’s performance.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be tasked to make sure all PPM and reactive maintenance are complete on a wide range of automated equipment such as conveyors, postal sortation, mail sortation and packaging machinery.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds in an engineering discipline
• Previous experience of working in an operational engineering role within a similar environment
• Familiar with basic hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, Allen keys
• Monday to Friday 7-3/2-10 shifts
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus
• Ability to work in a time critical environment
