A leading facilities management company in the UK is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to handle planned preventive and reactive maintenance in electrical, mechanical, and fabric systems. This role ensures operational effectiveness and requires adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have relevant certifications and experience in similar maintenance duties. A commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment is a core value of the company.
Location: Manchester, M1 3BN
Hours of work: 40
Contract Type: Permanent
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and minor fabric systems. Your work will ensure the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
You will adhere to engineering standards and the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA), maintaining accurate records and documentation associated with PPM and plant operations.
Your role focuses on 4PP with some work at Heron House, Spinningfields, and minor support at Wythenshaw. Most work is planned in advance, but flexibility is required regarding site presence.
You will work alongside another engineer, with responsibilities including electrical works (lighting, power, RCD boards, tap temperature checks), minor mechanical and fabric repairs, escorting sub-contractors, and eventually training to LV AP for work on UPS and generators. On-call duties are required on a 1-in-2 rota, though this occurs infrequently.
