Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Reinsurance Broking team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in the London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The role : Motor & Casualty Reinsurance Broker

An opportunity has arisen for an AVP Broker Role, within our UK Motor & Casualty team. This role will present the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to join a growing team that handles a diverse portfolio of business.

We will rely on you to :

Build and maintain strong relationships and develop strategic partnerships with reinsurers whilst helping the team to deliver the best terms and a first‑class service for clients.

Act as the reference point for advice and technical expertise to the internal client servicing teams such as Client Support Services and Broker Support Services.

Assist in providing recommendations and advice on placement strategy, programme structure and market conditions including presentations to clients and prospects where appropriate.

Assist the Account Executives and Senior Brokers with developing solutions for clients’ needs.

Assist with responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly in order to maintain client satisfaction.

Demonstrate proficient awareness of market conditions to better serve clients and obtain the best terms from the markets.

Develop strong product knowledge within Motor and Casualty lines.

Update Account Executives and Management on issues, progress, etc., regularly and upon request to ensure high‑quality client service.

Initiate the renewal process of placements in good time anticipating and preventing problems when possible.

May be required to assist colleagues placing different lines of business within the team.

Assist all team members in new business development.

What you need to have :

Proven experience within an established reinsurance broking team.

Good knowledge of P&C products.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to assist in building, managing and developing relationships.

Willingness and aptitude to help produce business.

Willingness to help with marketing events for clients and brokers.

Experience dealing with clients and reinsurers.

The ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required.

Cert CII qualified and working towards ACII is desirable.
