A leading healthcare organization in Burton upon Trent is seeking a dedicated team member for the Maternity Wards. The role involves ensuring cleanliness and comfort for patients, supporting non-clinical needs, and being an integral part of the Clinical Ward Team. This post is based on the Maternity Wards at Queens Hospital Burton. The working hours are 7.5 hour shifts covering a 7 day service.
Your role will be to work as an integral part of the Clinical Ward Team and to be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services in the ward area, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are to ensure that there is a seamless approach to the provision of non-clinical services; ensuring the appropriate delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks, to meet individual patients’ needs, as determined by the Ward Sister.
Ideally you’ll have a caring and compassionate attitude, excellent communication skills and understand confidentiality. You will be able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to deliver high standards in all aspects of the role.
You will also have a good awareness of infection control principles with cleanliness and tidiness being an important part of your role in maintaining the working environment.
Having a “can do” approach in supporting our unit team to achieve smooth running of our department is essential.
