Summary

Due to growth of local contracts, NG Bailey Facilities Services are recruiting a Mobile Mechanical Technician to support our contracts in the Birmingham Region covering Commercial and Educational properties providing PPM and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will have a background in Mechanical maintenance with relevant and current qualifications. This is a mobile role, so a valid UK driving licence is essential, as a company van will be provided.

Key Deliverables
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance relating primarily to mechanical building services plant and system’s in line with agreed programmes / SLAs in order to meet client and statutory compliance.
  • Maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of mechanical plant, working to current standards and the contract specification.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of domestic hot and cold‑water services – L8 awareness (domestic water systems).
  • Submitting concise & accurate reports of work carried out & time spent on tasks.
  • Ownership of site logbooks and record keeping for your designated sites.
  • Providing details for further recommended works, including all the required information for office personnel to action.
  • Support the wider team with out of hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • The position is Monday to Friday 0800 – 1630 – Call Out Rota is 1 in 8.
What we're looking for

A Mechanical Technician working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service. You will hold current qualifications to include:

  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential).
  • City and Guilds Qualification in Heating and Ventilation OR Plumbing.
  • A minimum of Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or 'A' and 'B'. BMS experience and multi‑skilling capability and or HVAC certificates, equivalent qualifications.
  • Conversant with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPM’s.
  • Driving Licence.
