Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team based in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Plant, Equipment, and Building Services.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving machinery performance.
  2. Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a productive environment, liaising with the client regarding machinery PPMs.
  3. Fault find on all types of Machinery.
  4. Support health and safety initiatives within the department.
  5. Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise, working on Heavy Industrial Machines and Overhead Cranes.
  6. Write and follow Risk Assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
  7. Complete documentation complying with all rules and legislation.
  8. Work on Three Phase Systems up to 440V.
  9. Maintain Motors, Gearboxes, Valves, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical Systems.
  10. Use Mobile Devices for project management and task completion via CAFM Maintenance System.
  11. Plan daily work requirements using email and calendar systems.
  12. Liaise with onsite Site Services for Building Services issues, responding confidently and accurately.
  13. Be the responsible person for the department when required and deputize the Shift Leader during leave or sickness.
  14. Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
  15. Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • A recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Electrical qualifications to at least City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 and 17th Edition.
  • Mechanical qualifications to an acceptable standard, such as City and Guilds Mechanical.
  • Strong multi-skilled abilities.
  • Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience.
  • Fault-finding abilities.
  • PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
  • Ability to supervise contractors.
  • Competent in writing Risk and Method Statements.
  • Understanding of permits.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Working at Height qualification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • AP qualifications.
  • Experience in Heavy Engineering.
