Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Coventry. The successful candidate will work with jigs and fixtures to produce high-quality chassis parts for the Land Rover aftermarket. This is a full-time, permanent position following a 13-week temporary-to-permanent period. If you have proven MIG welding experience in a production setting and a strong commitment to quality and safety, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Weld production: Execute high-standard MIG welding on chassis parts and assemblies using jigs and fixtures.
  • Technical interpretation: Work from technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure products meet precise specifications.
  • Quality control: Carry out pre- and post-weld inspections to ensure structural integrity and a high-quality finish.
  • Production targets: Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
  • Safety and maintenance: Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with the wider production team to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process.
Skills and qualifications
  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder, ideally within an automotive or production environment.
  • Proficient in using jigs and fixtures for repeatable and accurate welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical or engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • A reliable and punctual team player with good communication skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing setting.
Working hours and pay

Hourly rate: £14.00 per hour.

Weekly hours: 38 hours per week.

Shift pattern: Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.; Friday 7:00 a.m.– 11:00 a.m. (early finish).

Pay cycle: Weekly, paid every Thursday, one week in arrears.
