Job Role

The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in children's residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner. Previous experience in CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked After Children's services, is required. The role offers excellent training, career progression opportunities and a variety of staff benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic services to young people placed within the residential setting by assessing and identifying their needs.
  • Consult and train Residential and Care staff.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic work and care planning in conjunction with the Multi‑disciplinary Team.
  • Supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students and Assistants where appropriate.
  • Conduct specialist assessments and formulate and implement plans of therapeutic intervention based on psychological understanding and evidence‑based practice.
  • Collaborate with the wider MDT to formulate and implement care plans.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward‑thinking Mental Health Practitioner to join our friendly team.

Essential
  • Registered with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC, NMC).
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
Beneficial
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents.
  • CAMHS experience.
