A busy GP practice in Oldham is seeking a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You'll handle general reception duties, assist with patient inquiries, and provide administrative support to the practice team. We are looking to appoint a receptionist to join our busy GP practicewho will be the first point of contact for patients, contractors, and visitorsas well as carrying out general admin tasks.
You will be responsible for the general reception duties within thePractice and work with our established processes, policies and procedures toprovide a comprehensive high quality service and deal efficiently andcourteously with patient enquiries.
You will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing theappropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient andeffective way.
You will provide general assistance to the practice team and project apositive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person orvia the telephone.
You will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate andfriendly nature who can operate in a busy environment with a range of peopleand professions, as you will be workingour clinical and administration teams.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effectivecommunicator who can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients,ensuring every contact is of the highest quality.
You should have a good understanding of IT, be a goodteam player and have a flexible approach to work. Experience in General Practice is not essential asfull training will be given.
Your regularduties in this role will be dealing with telephone, face to face and electronicenquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and home visits,contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assistingpatients to access our services and those available in the wider community.
