A healthcare organization is seeking a proactive Administrative Officer to handle patient referrals and appointment bookings. The role involves ensuring high levels of satisfaction for patients and healthcare teams through effective communication and management of clinical documentation. Candidates should demonstrate strong IT skills and an excellent telephone manner, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment.
The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patient referrals and appointment bookings. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide support to the Senior Sister or Medical Day Unit Nurse-In-Charge in proactive management and screening of incoming referrals, booking appointments, sourcing clinical documentation and diagnostic results from internal and external care providers, communicating with members of the multi-disciplinary team and patients, and ensuring pathways are managed smoothly.
