A leading engineering firm in Lyme Regis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for concept designs, technical drawings, and liaising with manufacturers. Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, and skills in 3D CAD software. This role offers a salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience and provides an opportunity to work within a small, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in a Design Engineering or CAD Operation position.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings.
• Liaising with manufacturing providers.
• Being involved in final assembly of products.
• Creating required documentation for design and project reports.
• Updating 3D models and drawings.
