Responsibilities

We are seeking a Test Technician to join our multidisciplinary team; your responsibilities will include:

  • Test Execution: Prepare and carry out a wide range of tests with precision, always prioritizing safety and strict adherence to protocols
  • Technical Craftsmanship: Fabricating and maintaining test stands with a focus on detail, durability, and safe operation
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day test operations, maintain a safe working environment, provide timely feedback to engineers, and manage data acquisition systems
  • Documentation & Safety: Develop and maintain clear, accurate documentation—including risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols—to support consistent and compliant test execution
  • Data & Reporting: Analyse test results and contribute to the creation of clear, insightful lab reports that inform design and performance decisions
Qualifications

We\'re seeking a candidate with extensive practical experience in a technical or engineering role. Your practical know-how, confidence with tools and systems, and ability to solve real-world problems are essential. Thriving in this role depends not only on technical capability but also on your ability to collaborate, remain disciplined, and continuously improve in an evolving multidisciplinary environment.

Relevant Qualifications (we prefer):

  • HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic systems – or relevant practical experience within these disciplines
  • Cross-Functional Skills: Practical knowledge across mechanical assembly, electrical systems, hydraulics, and IT
  • Growth Mindset: While experience is essential, we value curiosity and a commitment to learning. A willingness to adjust to new situations and a commitment to continuous improvement are key to thriving in this role
  • Technical Awareness: Familiarity with HBK and MOOG equipment is an advantage, along with experience operating plant machinery such as FLT, Gantry Crane, MEWPs, and Telehandler
  • Passion for Engineering: You bring professionalism and pride to your work, with a genuine interest in materials testing and renewable energy
