We are seeking Digital Transformation, Digital Strategists, Technology Corporate Advisors to join one of the world’s largest and most innovative companies operating within the energy market. The company plays a crucial role in global energy supply across all continents and has embarked on a major drive to diversify their portfolio as well as investing in start ups and scales ups. Led by technology-driven decisions, their interests now cover business lines across – energy, renewables, power, infrastructure, maritime, aviation, finance, space, digital twins, AI, VR, AR, data, IOT, agri-tech, edu-tech, health-tech, robotics, drones and sustainability ventures.

The role entails guiding company’s digital transformation strategy and initiatives and acting as a Corporate Advisor on digital and IT matters, providing strategic insights to the Corporate Strategy Department, senior management, and the CEO.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise senior management on developing strategic goals and plans for digital and IT business.
  • Contribute to corporate strategy development and updates, focusing on the digital strategy. Collaborate with other strategists and subject matter experts across various departments.
  • Shape the company’s digital transformation by identifying growth opportunities, assessing market trends, and providing strategic recommendations. Conduct research, analyze data, evaluate potential partnerships or acquisitions, and work with cross-functional teams to execute digital projects.
  • Review digital and IT business and investment plans to ensure alignment with the company’s overall strategy. Assess the strategic fit of key investments.
  • Present strategic options to senior leadership with detailed analysis. Facilitate regular reviews of strategy execution to monitor progress, identify issues, and recommend adjustments.
  • Conduct independent research on topics related to long-term scenarios and strategic considerations affecting the company’s digital and IT plans. Prepare special studies as required for the Strategy & Market Analysis division and corporate committees.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal relationships, influencing counterparts at various levels to advance strategic thinking and ensure the organization proactively adapts its strategy.
  • Build external relationships with industry experts, consulting firms, and leading companies to stay informed of trends in digital and IT that could impact the company’s strategy.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, MIS, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in digital transformation projects with a major energy company, IT company, or top-tier consulting firm, including at least 5 years in a strategy or corporate planning role.
  • Deep knowledge of digital technologies and trends, including AI, machine learning, robotics, cloud computing, advanced connectivity, and cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, regulatory environments, commercialization, and market entry strategies.
  • Experience in various technology sectors, such as Industry 4.0, digital supply chain, fintech, smart cities, IoT, sustainability, and the metaverse.
  • Strong understanding of digital and IT operating models, software development lifecycle (SDLC), governance models, and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas industry and global trends, including renewables, decarbonization, hydrogen, and low‑carbon initiatives.
  • Strong quantitative skills for developing financial or operational models and conducting data analysis.
  • Proven ability to challenge conventional thinking and influence others effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective networks with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
