A leading tech firm in Thornaby-on-Tees is seeking a Marketing Manager for a one-year maternity cover. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing marketing strategies and managing marketing activities. Responsibilities include lead generation, overseeing the marketing executive, and contributing to the marketing strategy. The role offers a base salary of £42,000 with additional benefits such as flexible working and private health insurance.
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. This role is a one-year maternity cover position.
Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass:
Identify opportunities and produce leads meeting the businessesprospect criteria
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospects
Develop creative pitches and propositions aimed at specific industry sectors
Proactively follow up leads generated, working with the new business team on converting these opportunities
Use of initiative to identify and follow up opportunities with companies who are not already on the database
Manage the database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business
Identify and grow opportunities and collaborate to ensure growth attainment
Ensure all sales opportunities are logged inPipeDrive and are kept up to date
Attendance and participation at internal sales meetings
Attend partner prospecting meetings with a view to obtaining warm leads/introductions
Supporting the creation and ongoing changes to the marketing strategy in conjunction with the Head of Marketing, CCO, and CEO, keeping the business in line with their objectives
Supporting the Head of Marketing with the budget of the marketing department ensuring the budget spend is delivering a return on investment
Oversee the day to day marketing activities completed by the Marketing Executive ensuring tasks are completed in line with the businesses strategy, quality & timeframes
Complete bi-annual performance review process and development planning for all members of their team
Carries out weekly one-to-one meetings with each team member
Provides regular informed training to the team
Work with Head of People to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees when applicable.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate company information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email and regular interpersonal communication.
Managing the overall performance of the marketing function which includes third parties for services such as AdWords, design, print and PR
Identify, plan and deliver with the marketing team personalised marketing campaigns to different sectors, highlighting the services and experience razorblue offer
Manage the marketing team to design and production of marketing materials, such as websites, brochures and collateral materials used by the team
Delivering with the team content used for blogs, social media, advertising platforms such as business magazine and PR
Manage prospect database, ensuring inbound leads are tracked and up to date information updated at all times, new opportunities/prospecting data added on a monthly basis and ensuring database is consistently cleansed
Manage the businesses sponsorship & charity agreements
Provide detailed marketing pack for monthly board meetings
Work with marketing staff to develop detailed marketing plans covering all marketing channels
Establish marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts
Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies
Manage and deliver the company’s attendance at events, such as trade shows, partner networking events, conferences, and balls
Manage the businesses networking schedule ensuring participation in relevant events with preparation before and post review required

Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies.
Experience with relevant software applications (MS Office, Photoshop, InDesign CS)
Experience with online analytics, AdWords, design, print and PR.
Excellent Interpersonal Skills
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
Excellent telephone skills
Computer literate
Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)
People centric approach & service
Excellent conversational fluency in English is required to clearly explain complex technical issues
