Job description

St David's College is a thriving and oversubscribed Sixth Form College serving learners aged 16-19 across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. As an inclusive FE community, we are committed to developing the whole person – academically, personally, and spiritually.

Governors at St David's College are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Assistant to join a small, high‑performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life and wants to grow their skills in a supportive environment. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of marketing activity across the College, helping the College communicate effectively with students, families, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing social media platforms and websites
  • Creating engaging written, visual, and video content
  • Building positive working relationships across teams
  • Experience producing high‑quality marketing materials is welcomed; the ability to communicate in Welsh would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Supporting the college in enrolment and student recruitment activities as part of the marketing team.
What we offer
  • We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people; all staff must share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
  • We are an Equal Opportunities employer, and applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than those in English.
  • Shortlisted candidates will complete an In‑Tray exercise as part of the selection process.
  • The College operates a Sixth‑Form College academic year, with the Autumn Term beginning in August to support enrolment activities. This is not a term‑time‑only role.
  • Salary: £27,993.86
  • A friendly and collaborative working environment
  • Excellent training and development opportunities
  • Health‑care cashback plan
  • Free on‑site gym, parking, and breakfasts
  • On‑site canteen
  • Access to wellbeing and prayer apps
  • Cycle to Work and Electric Vehicle salary‑sacrifice schemes
