Role Summary
The Marketing Assistant will support the marketing team in planning and executing campaigns to promote apprenticeships and training services. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in marketing, with a passion for education and skills development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of content across digital channels including social media, website, and email.
- Support marketing campaigns to recruit learners and engage employers.
- Help maintain and update the company website using the CMS.
- Assist with email marketing, newsletters, and CRM updates.
- Support the development of printed and digital marketing materials (e.g., brochures, flyers, presentations).
- Monitor social media engagement and provide basic analytics reports.
- Help coordinate events such as webinars, and employer engagement events.
- Conduct market and competitor research to inform marketing strategies.
- Liaise with internal teams, learners, and partners to gather success stories and case studies.
- Ensure all marketing aligns with brand guidelines and compliance standards (e.g., Department for Education, Ofsted).
Person Specification
Essential:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for marketing, digital media, or education.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 2 years equivalent experience in a similar role.
Desirable:
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Basic understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, or email marketing tools.
- Experience in an education, training, or apprenticeship environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems or content management systems (CMS).
