Overview

Marine Site Manager (Civils) is required on an exciting new project within Portsmouth Docks. The client is looking for top-tier talent to ensure civil engineering works run smoothly and professionally through all stages of the project. We are in search of a skilled permanent Site Manager to join the team to work on a large water project in Southampton.

Responsibilities
  • Development of Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans for water distribution project.
  • Guaranteeing defect-free marine & civil construction works.
  • Considering the needs of local communities and the public.
  • Reviewing RAMS
  • Managing, supervising, and mentoring the site team.
  • Hiring trained and experienced site operatives.
  • Promoting cost-efficient management and resource use.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and updating project schedules.
  • Preparing and reviewing safety method statements and risk assessments.
  • Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose and operated by trained personnel.
  • Preparing records for measurement and payment.
  • Providing "as constructed" records for the Health and Safety File.
Qualifications
  • Civil Engineering/Site Management qualifications or a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.
  • Experience with marine engineering, piling, heavy civils projects.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Management certification (e.g., IOSH).
  • A valid driving license.
  • CSCS Site Manager certification and First Aid at Work.
