Overview

Company: A fantastic opportunity to join a leading SME in conformal coating solutions. The business is evolving with 5 facilities across the UK and Europe and a head office in the United States. You'll join a dynamic, collaborative environment with 60 people in their Woking facility.

The role is full-time and on-site (Mon-Fri). Standard working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Lead in the development of new and existing processes for the vapor deposition polymerization of parylene.
  • Investigate and implement new technologies as well as variations of existing processes to meet marketing, sales, and business goals.
  • Investigate and resolve process anomalies, interface with key account customers, and contribute to improvements in processes and procedures in conjunction with manufacturing and quality initiatives.
  • Evaluate and provide working solutions to new and unique customer coating applications and generate costing and process documentation.
Requirements
  • Degree educated or equivalent qualification in technical, scientific, or chemical fields.
  • Experience in leading teams in an SME/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to plan, set priorities, and complete multiple work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage resources and multiple priorities and interact with individuals at all levels within the organization, as well as with customers.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience using precision measuring and laboratory instruments (e.g., UV/Vis spectrophotometer, calipers, scales, micrometers, and other test/inspection equipment).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrated analytical and technical ability within the field of expertise.
