Job summary

A recruitment agency seeks a skilled Manual Machinist to service and repair various machinery in West Yorkshire. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' experience in high precision manufacturing and can read engineering drawings. This position offers between £14 to £15 per hour based on experience, working flexible hours from Monday to Friday.

Overview

MANUAL MACHINIST

We are recruiting for a Manual Machinist to work for our client who are located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair of motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes.
• Diagnose both mechanical and electrical faults on a range of equipment.
• Strip down parts, fault find, diagnose and repair.
• Assemble gearboxes.
• Work to deadlines

Essential experiences & skills

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background.
• Read engineering drawings
• Manual Lathes
• Engineering background required
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent time keeping.

The hours

• Monday - Thursday - 8.5 hours per day
• Working hours: 7.30 - 16.30
• Morning break 10.00 - 10.15
• Lunch break 13.00 to 13.30
• Friday - 6 hours
• Working hours: 7.30 - 13.45
• Morning break - None
• Lunch break 11.00 - 11.30

The pay

You will earn an hourly rate of between £14 to £15 an hour depending on experience.
