Our client is a UK manufacturer of high-quality branded consumer goods which is committed to innovation, sustainability and British engineering. Established for 50 years and having recently won a major national award for its latest groundbreaking product, they wish to appoint a visionary and dynamic Managing Director to lead the company towards the next phase of growth and success, guiding all business operations to ensure profitability and competitiveness, providing strategic leadership, managing daily activities and driving efficiency, overseeing human resources, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

As Managing Director, You Will
  • Develop strategic plans to achieve financial and corporate goals, growth targets and market competitiveness
  • Take responsibility for the company’s financial management, including optimal resource allocation, cost management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Provide leadership and direction to the executive team and staff and foster a positive company culture
  • Manage and optimise daily operations, production processes and supply chain to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Represent the company in high level negotiations
  • Drive company culture and ensure alignment between values, mission and day-to-day operations
  • Ensure the company operates in compliance with all legal, regulatory and health & safety requirements
  • Stay informed of industry trends, encourage R&D and drive product and process improvements
As Managing Director, You Will Need
  • A desire to move into your first Managing Director role, perhaps from a financial background
  • An impatience to get things done
  • A finisher/completer personality
  • Exceptional leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to handle complex challenges and responsibilities
