Security Manager Position Summary

The Security Manager is responsible for the security operations at assigned TidalHealth areas of responsibility. This position develops policies and procedures necessary for the protection and safety of persons and property at assigned jurisdictional premises. Provides direction and leadership to subordinate staff, directs operation of parking and reception services, oversees investigations, and provides services necessary to ensure the safety and security of staff, patients, visitors, the public, and property of TidalHealth Peninsula Regional and its associated off‑site locations. The Manager functions as the Security Training Coordinator. Coordinates, as applicable, with federal, state, and local law enforcement, criminal justice systems, local health department, and other related jurisdictional services.

Security Manager Position Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement is required, experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

Experience

• Valid driver’s license and driving record deemed appropriate by TidalHealth.
• Licensed as a Maryland Special Police Officer within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
• Range Safety Officer certification is required within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
• Minimum five (5) years experience in armed law enforcement, security and protection services.
• Previous experience in leadership is required.
• Experience working at a healthcare facility is required.
