This role involves preparing monthly accounts, conducting performance analysis, and collaborating with the leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and growing business, supporting the Financial Controller and senior leadership team by delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.
As a Management Accountant, you will play a key part in financial reporting, analysis, and planning. You’ll be responsible for:
Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
Conducting variance and performance analysis to provide valuable insights.
Assisting in quarterly business reviews, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial control.
Monitoring KPIs to support performance improvements across the business.
Supporting payroll processes and liaising with external auditors.
Collaborating with group finance and other departments to ensure accurate reporting.
Managing and developing a Finance Assistant.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with the following:
AAT qualification or part/fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting, ideally within manufacturing or a commercial environment.
Excellent knowledge of cost accounting, stock control, and margin analysis.
Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel (advanced level desirable).
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
A commercial mindset with the drive to support business performance and continuous improvement.
