Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the reporting of accurate and timely management accounts at month end.
  • Manage the fixed asset register across multi-site locations.
  • Manage all HMRC/VAT and Tax reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with the analysis of the KPIs and associated variance reports.

Overview

We are working with a fabulous organisation based in Blackburn who are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join them in this newly created position. The business is highly respected within their niche sector and has grown expediently over the last 5 years. This role is part of their continued plan, and they need a motivated individual who wishes to join the business and progress further in the next few years. It offers the chance to work alongside amazing mentors and help establish improved controls and processes across the business, and have exposure to different levels of personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the reporting of accurate and timely management accounts at month end.
  • Manage the fixed asset register across multi-site locations.
  • Manage all the HMRC/VAT and Tax reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with the analysis of the KPIs and associated variance reports, providing a deeper insight into changes.
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process alongside the FC.
  • Monitor the expenditure around budgetary controls and cost centre management.
  • Manage the accuracy of all transactional reporting on both sales and purchase ledger.
  • Responsible for any intercompany reconciliations.
  • Develop the reporting of the accounts, through real time software and associated IT systems.
Qualifications
  • AAT Technician or CIMA/ACCA Qualified preferred
  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience within the monthly pack
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Desire to want to progress and establish yourself as a key player in the team
