Overview

Shift: 1:30 PM-10:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $33.00 an hour + $1.25 shift differential

Conagra Brands is hiring for a Maintenance Tech with food manufacturing experience on our 2nd shift. You will report to the shift supervisor and join a team of 235+ team members. You will work onsite at our food manufacturing plant located in Kent, WA.

Anticipated Close Date: October 10, 2025 | Location: Kent, Washington

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair all aspects of production line equipment including cookers, wrappers, and conveyors.
  • Work across craft specialties, including electrical, welding, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and structural.
  • Repair or replace defective parts on equipment; dismantle machinery to access parts, replace/repair defective parts, and reassemble machinery; lubricate and clean working mechanisms on production equipment.
  • Respond to urgent needs to keep the production lines running.
  • Perform plant inspections on fire systems, storage freezers, refrigeration systems, and record information into daily summaries.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and ensure completion of work orders.
  • Work varying hours and shifts, including overtime and weekends, to accommodate production deadlines.
  • Maintain regular attendance and report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Other maintenance responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Attributes
  • Follow all plant work, safety, food safety, and GMP standards.
  • Meet internal/external customer expectations through teamwork, respect, and a willingness to help and support others.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all departments and other maintenance shifts.
  • Work in temperatures ranging from 125°F to +/- 20°, averaging 85°F.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and ammonia refrigeration in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Refrigeration operator's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant trade or technical school training.
