Brocket Hall is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to the upkeep of our renowned estate. As one of the UK's premier stately homes, our property features beautiful facilities and grounds that require attention and care to ensure they remain in excellent condition. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance tasks, ensuring that the estate operates smoothly and efficiently for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the building and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Perform repairs on machinery, equipment, and structures around the estate as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently, prioritizing guest and staff safety.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs to ensure transparency and traceability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support events and upkeep of the grounds and facilities.
  • Assist with renovations, improvements, and other projects to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the estate.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
  • Support a culture of safety and adherence to health and safety regulations across the estate.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a relevant trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
  • A relevant qualification or certification in building maintenance, engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
