Job description

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping things running like clockwork? We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. Whether it's fixing faults or keeping downtime to a minimum, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations safe, smooth, and compliant.

The main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Troubleshoot and repair faults on equipment and plant systems.
  2. Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  3. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  4. Facilities maintenance (inside and outside).
  5. Assist in clearing blockages, removing foreign matter from sinks, toilets, drains, kitchen grease traps, etc., and cleaning up spillages as required.
  6. Assist and ensure that gullies, guttering, drains, etc., are kept free from debris.
  7. Perform a wide range of commercial building inspections, including fire safety, legionella, and mandatory building H&S requirements.
  8. Calibrate, maintain, and service equipment, undertaking planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work as required.
  9. Conduct PAT testing of electrical equipment.
  10. Manual handling, lifting, and carrying. The role involves physical effort; applicants should be physically fit to exert moderate effort. Occasionally, lifting, pushing, and pulling items over 25 kg may be required.
  11. Deliver and collect items using the company van.
  12. Work with skilled trades and perform routine and non-routine tasks.
  13. Operate with regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Waste Disposal, etc., at all times.
