Overview

Maintenance Supervisor – Join a leading manufacturer in the West Midlands. This is a hands-on leadership role with a small team, offering a chance to lead and develop an engineering team at a modern, well-equipped site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineers and technicians
• Plan, schedule and deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Manage contractors and issue permits to work
• Drive health & safety compliance across site
• Mentor apprentices and develop junior engineers
• Support continuous improvement projects to boost reliability and efficiency
• This is a hands-on leadership role – combining technical involvement with team management

Requirements / Qualifications

• Solid experience in planned and reactive maintenance within manufacturing, production, or process industries
• Proven background as a Maintenance Supervisor / Team Leader (or strong potential if you have deputised previously)
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills (electrical or mechanical bias)
• Confident managing contractors and using permit-to-work systems
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or above) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Apprenticeship background highly desirable

Easily commutable from Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Coventry, Birmingham & Solihull.
