Job description
The Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Officer to join the Corporate Assets and Facilities Service. This post is a full-time permanent position and will be predominantly based at our Billet Lane site, Scunthorpe. There may be a requirement to work from other council sites along with occasional homeworking. This role also provides a technical service function in supporting North Lincolnshire Councils Operational Property Portfolio. You will form part of the frontline helpdesk service for our services and the first point of contact for receiving and processing all customer property related matters raised across our estate. Ensuring they are dealt with effectively, and in a timely and professional manner. This entails organising and planning property repairs, request for works, soft services contracts, statutory service inspections and compliance activities that form the delivery of the Corporate Landlord model. Your role is also important in delivering Protective Equipment (PPE) Forever framework, which ensures the council's business continuity arrangements and compliance with regulations. This includes procuring and purchasing of clinical, non-clinical PPE and uniform products, processing service requests, collation and distribution of orders and managing and maintaining stock levels.

You will have extensive experience of:

  • Working in an administration background
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and financial systems are essential.
  • Be professional and effective when dealing with customers.

The right candidate will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, adapt to change and contribute to improving processes.
