A leading consultancy firm is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a 12-month contract in Worcester. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance, strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and relevant technical qualifications. Qualifications

Overview

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Maintenance Engineer on an 12 month contract based in Worcester.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, and coordinate procurement as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Engineering or related field).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in industry-specific experience (e.g., manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceuticals).
  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) advantageous.
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge.
