Job summary

A manufacturing company in Rothwell is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day equipment maintenance and ensure PPM schedules. The ideal candidate will have a blend of electrical and mechanical skills, knowledge of SAP, and a strong commitment to health and safety. Full training will be provided, and the role emphasizes a hands-on approach and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Electrically biased with strong Mechanical skills or vice versa.
• Good logical thought process regarding fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Good communication, flexibility, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all plant equipment on site day-to-day.
• Keep up PPM schedules and work procedures.
• Perform reactive and proactive maintenance.
• Utilize SAP for machine work history and planning.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and working a continental shift, you will be required to work as an integral part of the team and demonstrate a good hands-on approach.

Key tasks & Activities

1. Day-to-day maintenance of all plant equipment on site
2. Maintaining PPM schedules, work procedures, and involvement in continuous improvement activities
3. Reactive and proactive maintenance
4. Utilising our Enterprise Resource Software (SAP) to keep up-to-date machine work history, spare parts consumption, and PPM planning
5. Liaising with Team Leaders and Management to effectively organise reactive/proactive and PPM schedules to cause minimal disruption to site operations

Who we are looking for…

• Electrically biased with strong Mechanical skills or;
• Mechanical biased with electrical skills (qualifications)
• Good logical thought process regarding fault diagnosis and rectification
• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and Inverter drives would be advantageous
• Experience of Blow Moulding and Packaging machines would be advantageous
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Good communication, flexibility, and reliability are essential for this position
