Job description

Overview

The Maintenance Electrician role involves electrical maintenance and service work, fault finding, and repairs on electrical and control systems. The successful candidate will contribute to preventative maintenance tasks and work flexibly across sites in the Cheshire area.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance or service tasks on equipment and systems.
• Fault find on Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs; diagnose issues with motor drives, temperature controllers, and other control systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Facilitate repairs under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
• Work in a team or independently to complete assigned tasks; perform building maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in an engineering maintenance or service role (essential).
• Excellent fault-finding skills on PLCs and control systems; experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Competent in mechanical repairs and extensive electrical knowledge.
• Experience carrying out preventative maintenance tasks.
• IT literate; proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Gradus CMMS.
• Apprentice trained; educated to HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent); 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Full valid UK Driving Licence; flexible travel to alternate sites within the Cheshire area (expenses covered).

Locations and Travel

The Maintenance Electrician role is commutable from Stockport, Stoke-on-Trent, and Macclesfield. You may be required to travel to alternative sites within the Cheshire area. Expenses are covered.
