A leading technical recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a global manufacturing organization located in Bury St Edmunds, UK. The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained with strong fault-finding abilities, particularly with Allen Bradley and Siemens S7 PLC’s. Duties include maintenance of electrical systems, testing motors, and working in a team-oriented environment. This role offers 33 days of holiday and onsite parking. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained engineer required.
• Experience in a Textiles / Manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Flexibility to participate in a call-out rota is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault-finding and repairs on electrical components.
• Test motors and ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Skills

Strong fault-finding abilities with Allen Bradley & Siemens S7 PLC’s

Experience with Motors and Drives / Inverters

Confident with Hydraulics & Pneumatics

Experienced with Motor testing

Welding and machining experience

Education

ONC / City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering

18th IEE Wiring regulations

The Maintenance Electrician position is commutable from the following locations: Rochdale / Oldham / Wigan / Blackburn / Bury

The Maintenance Electrician will be required to work the following shift: Days: 07:30am till 3:30pm

Duties and requirements the Maintenance Electrician will hold and be responsible for:

• Strong fault- finding abilities with Allen Bradley & Siemens S7 PLC’s
• Experience with: Motors and Drives / Inverters / Single and 3 Phase systems.
• Confident with both Hydraulics & Pneumatics / Bearings / Fluid systems / Steam systems / Press Machinery / Conveyor systems
• Experienced with Motor testing.
• We are ideally looking for the individual to hold a 60/40 Split – electrically biased.
• Welding and machining experience would be at an advantage.
• Previous experience within a Textiles / Manufacturing environment.
• We are looking for an Apprentice trained engineer.
• Holding a ONC / City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering
• Also holding their 18th IEE Wiring regulations.
• Flexibility is key as there will also be a call out Rota in place – rotating Weekly.
