Join Three Valleys Hospital as a Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well‑presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, including gardening, and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors. Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance‑related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. Responsibilities
  • Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Utilising good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users is maintained.
  • Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
  • Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
  • Assisting in all decorating.
  • Liaising with a manager and reporting all faults and defects.
  • Participating in a 1‑week retaining on‑call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance.
  • Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing all paperwork and tool checks.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure they enjoy the highest quality of service.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
  • All candidates will be subject to a DBS disclosure.
