Qualifications

• Proven experience in finding and repairing leaks on external water supply pipes.
• Able to generate detailed reports using WRC Defect Grading & Guidelines.
• Trained Engineers & Certificated are an advantage.

Overview

Mains Water Engineer

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (DOE)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend with the option of overtime.

The Role

In this role you will predominately be site-based working across the UK, finding leaks on the external supply pipe, and making recommendations for repairs. Exceptional problem-solving skills are essential.

You must have excellent customer service skills, being able to confidently speak to customers to explain the work you are completing leaving them with a great experience.

Experience Required

• Use of CCTV surveying equipment, generating detailed Reports to WRC Defect Grading & Guidelines.
• Use of CAT/GENIE and Sonar tracing equipment in order to identify buried services and to trace/locate & map out drainage system.
• Reinstatement of various different domestic surface types i.e. paving slabs, block paving, etc.
• Finding and repairing leaks on external water supply pipes that deliver water from water mains underneath the road, to the property.
• Outstanding customer care
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Full driving licence
• Trained Engineers & Certificated an advantage but not essential.
• Technology understanding.
