Overview

At our site in Haslingden, due to continued growth and an ever-increasing workbook, we are looking to bring in more Machine Operators to our Extrusion and Conversion departments. This is a permanent, full-time position working a 4-week shift rotation pattern. To be considered for these positions, you must be able to work 12-hour shifts on both days, nights and weekends. A breakdown of the shift pattern will be provided prior to any interviews taking place. You will be paid weekly in arrears for hours worked the previous week and there are shift allowances on top of the basic rate, which detail will be provided to you.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating machines, working on a production line
• Regularly checking machines during operation to ensure the highest quality of product is produced
• Labeling and packing items ready for dispatch
• Conducting quality checks of the finished products
• Working to deadlines and production targets
• Completing paperwork and reporting any defects
• Following standard operating procedures
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Wearing the necessary protective clothing when required

What we are looking for

• Any experience working in Extrusion is desired but not essential as training will be provided
