Job Title: Lunchtime Welfare Assistant

Hours: Part-time, term-time only (typically 1.5-2 hours per day, Monday-Friday)

About the Role: We are recruiting Lunchtime Welfare Assistants to work in primary schools across Preston. This role is perfect for someone who is caring, reliable, and enjoys working with children. You'll be supporting children over the lunchtime period, helping to create a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment in both the dining hall and playground.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise children during lunch breaks in the dining hall, playground, and other areas as required.
  • Encourage positive play and social interaction.
  • Promote good behaviour and healthy eating.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
  • Report any concerns to the school staff team.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
  • Friendly and approachable with a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Able to promote positive behaviour and manage situations calmly.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential. Training and support are provided.
