Due to expansion, a leading manufacturing and logistics group providing packaging solutions to high profile retailers has a new vacancy for a Logistics Manager. You will oversee the logistics and planning teams, ensuring delivery targets are met while providing leadership and guidance. This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract with the likelihood of becoming permanent.

The Role

Oversee the logistics & planning teams providing leadership and guidance.

Ensure planned deliveries and transfers are achieved.

Develop and implement efficient transportation, distribution, and inventory strategies.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Manage, mentor, and guide the logistics team to upskill and ensure succession planning.

Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Work with carriers to ensure optimisation and strive for operational excellence.

Manage the tracking of service levels to ensure accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Support HR with the recruitment and successful onboarding of new employees.

Ensure safety standards and adhered to and enforced.

The Person

Proven experience in logistics management.

Previous experience working in a complex logistics environment.

Strong understanding of transportation, inventory management and warehouse operations.

Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.

Strong analytical and organisational skills.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
