A health organization in the UK is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to provide assessments and treatments for patients with severe mental health conditions. The successful candidate will work independently and engage with a multidisciplinary team. Essential qualifications include an MB BS degree and at least 2 years' experience in Psychiatry. The SECRHTT is based at Cygnet House, Ware and covers the Southeast of Hertfordshire including catchment areas under 3 Community Mental health teams (Holly lodge in Cheshunt, Cygnet House in Ware and Oxford House in Bishops Stortford).
The post holder will work alongside the multidisciplinary team and a consultant psychiatrist allocated to SECRHTT. People receiving services from the community services are predominantly severely mentally ill and so active involvement in the process of care programming is vital. The post holder will be expected to work independently on a day-to-day basis, but with access to consultant.
The successful candidate would be supporting CRHTT consultant and the multidisciplinary team in providing diagnostic assessments and treatment to patients with severe, complex, and high-risk psychiatric conditions.
2 years' experience within psychiatry is an essential criteria for specialty doctor posts; should you not hold this experience you may be interviewed and considered for an alternative posting which will be different in grade and pay.
