Position

University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a locum 7 PA Consultant ENT surgeon who has a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key Details
  • On‑call commitment: 1 in 12
  • Clinic‑heavy role with work at RNENT, Edgware, and Whittington satellite clinics
  • No fixed theatre sessions; opportunities to cover may arise per leave schedules
  • Specialist register required
  • Flexibility for coverage and off‑site work required
  • Provisional job plan subject to agreement and change
Job Plan

The consultant’s job plan is expected to comprise an average of 7 programmed activities per week, to be carried out at RNENT and the satellite clinics. Within three months of start date the post‑holder will discuss and agree a detailed job plan, including personal and professional objectives, with the Clinical Director and may undertake a prospective diary exercise to inform this process.

Of the 7 programmed activities, 6 will be Direct Clinical Care (including the on‑call commitment) and 1 will be a Senior Practising Assistant (SPA). The Direct Clinical Care plan follows a team‑based approach; departmental activities and personal objectives are tailored individually.
